Review: Zombieland - Movie Review

Very Different Type of Zombie Movie - Recommended!

Zombieland was much better than I expected from viewing the trailers. This movie had plenty of gore (which doesn't bother me), a lot of comedy, and, most importantly, a lot of zombie killing action!

The real surprise is the how well Woody Harrelson and Jesse Eisenberg worked together on the screen. I love zombie movies, but generally don't like anything Woody Harrelson is in. Woody plays the perfect socially inept heavy to Jesse's blundering geek, and it really brought a lot to the movie.

No plot spoilers from me; the movie follows what is possibly the last non-zombie humans in North America after a case of "Mad Cow" disease jumps into humans and quickly spreads to the whole population. While I can't easily imagine zombie cows rampaging through major cities, it seems to work differently in humans.

There are quite a few laugh out loud moments and a few good scares, but this is mostly a buddy film from start to finish and it works very well!

Recommended for fans of the genre.
